OK I know there is nothing like Harbin but is there something kind of similar south of SF, like in Santa Cruz?
Anyone have any suggestions?

Mon, April 13, 2009 - 8:10 AMAre you thinking of the Mounta Madonna Center? It's between Santa Cruz and Monterey. mountmadonna.org/index.html
If you're looking for hot springs to soak in, maybe it's Esalen you're thinking of. mountmadonna.org/index.html
Harbin, to me, is one-of-a-kind! -

Re: Something similar to Harbin south of SF
Tue, April 14, 2009 - 2:18 PMNo problem!
Here's some other places that may be "similar" as well:
Kiva Retreat (in Santa Cruz)
www.kivaretreat.com/
Lupin Lodge (in Los Gatos)
lupinlodge.org/
...but it all depends on how one interprets "similar". I think the two Michelle listed are probably the most similar, but others' tastes may vary....

Wed, April 15, 2009 - 5:29 PMI agree that Harbin is one-of-a-kind. www.kalani.com is kind of similar. They do Watsu. But it is in Hawaii. -

Thu, April 16, 2009 - 6:34 AMWhat a wonderful place Kalani is. Spent 3 weeks there for a Hypnotherapy training but that was years ago. Swimming with the dolphins off the nearby black sand beach is a sweet memory. Good to see Kalani is thriving. -

Fri, April 17, 2009 - 8:05 PMIt is! Last month I stayed in a yurt a few miles up the road, but went to Kalini for Watsu and a massage. There seemed to be lots of activity there.
